Jack and the Westbourne Fair

"Jack's week started badly. 'Where's your homework?' asked MR Fish on Monday morning. Everyone turned to look at Jack. Jack said confidently, 'It's on the table at home.' Mr Fish, the history teacher, stared Jack, his eye dark and bright in his large white face. Mr Fish was also known as Sid the Shark, Mr Chips and Moby Dick. Moby Dick was David's idea. David knew a lot about books and he said there was a book about a Great White Whale called Moby Dick. The name seemed to fit. 'I did my homework at the weekend but I forgot it this morning. I can bring it to school tomorrow.' 'Well, make sure you do,' said Mr Fish."
