Today, I am going to introduce Earth, a level 2 in Oxford Read and Discover.
Earth is amazing and has lots of place.
We live on the land. The land can be snowy mountains or green valleys. Mountains and valleys in China are millions of years old.
Earth is called "A water planet" so there is water in rivers, lakes, and oceans. When the ocean is calm, we can enjoy marine sport such as surfing and swimming.
In some very hot place in summer, the lungfish makes a hole in the soil. It can live there with no water.
Moreover in some cold place like the Arctic and the Antarctic, electricity from the sun makes amazing colours in the sky, it is called aurora. It is beautiful.
Furthermore, in the deep ocean, some animals make a light so they can see in the dark.
