“Jenny and Robert Slater were on holiday in America. They were young and it was the first time away from home in England. They had a car and visit many famous and interesting places.”
A young couple visits America during their holiday. Jenny wants to see New York but her husband does not want go there because New York is a dangerous place and there are a lot of strange people there. Then, she persuades him to visit the big city together. They have dinner in a good restaurant and then went to cinema. It is a good time than they expected. Of course, they does not have any problems. After that, the couple arrives back at their hotel at midnight. It was quite dark and they cannot see very well. Suddenly, a very tall young man with a big dog shows up in front of them when they are looking for the elevator. The door of the elevator opens and they gets in. Surprisingly, the strange man and his dog jumped in. They are nervous. ‘On the floor, Girl!’ the tall man says. They give him all their money and quickly gets down the floor because they are afraid of the situation. Next morning, a heartwarming thing happens to them.
This book has some very short story, so it is easy to read. I learned that we have to judge people not by their appearance. I will put emphasis on their personality.
